Opinel Pocket Knife No.10 with stainless steel blade is a reliable and elegant helper in any situation. The smaller Opinel blades are ideal for cutting fruit and vegetables, the larger ones for filleting fish. Made in France.

Blade

The Opinel No. 10 knife has a blade length of 10 cm. The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel, modified by Sandvik and adapted to Opinel knives, and is renowned for its extremely high quality and easy daily maintenance. The steel is hardened by heat treatment with martensitic hardening. The carbon content of this steel is at least 0,40 %, which makes the blade of high quality and resistant to corrosion. The blades are polished to give a mirror effect.

Opinel curved knives with thin blades have a slightly flexible blade and are not suitable for cutting or chopping hard objects.

Handle

Made from African coralwood with varying shades of pink and purple grain. Opinel thin-bladed knives have a thinner handle than traditional knives.

Virobloc safety ring
The Opinel pocket knife No. 10, like all Opinel curved knives starting with the No. 6, is equipped with the Virobloc safety ring invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. The Virobloc ring, which is cut from stainless steel, consists of two parts: a fixed and a sliding part. The blade is locked in both a folded position (for safe handling) and a folded position (for safety during transport).
