The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel, modified by Sandvik and adapted to Opinel knives, and is renowned for its extremely high quality and easy daily maintenance. The steel is hardened by heat treatment with martensitic hardening. The carbon content of this steel is at least 0,40 %, which makes the blade of high quality and resistant to corrosion.

Handle

French softwood is ideal for painting as it does not have a lot of grain. The handle is lacquered to protect it from moisture and dirt.
